Info share on Matrix bullets

Been reading all the postings on these bullets. Just got a box of 210gr. VLD's in and will be working them up in my 300WM 27 1/2" Kreiger SS Match. For those who have developed a good load lets share some info and save a person a few steps, understanding of course every rifle will be different. Marshal said shot best with a .040" jump. Is this what shooters have been finding? Not necessarily .040" but a jump in general? I plan on H1000 and Fed LRmag match and doing a ladder test for the sweet spot. Did this with 200gr Sierra spbt and Hornady 208's and load was the same for both for 1/2 moa groups at 300yds, (if I do my job). Post your results.

Been shooting 210 Matrix VLD's for a while now out of my 300wm.. my first ever 1 hole group was with Matrix. Using Win Brass, CCI Magnum primer, H1000.. they shot the best just a bit under 3000fps.

Had the same result with the 200gr Sierra spbt and the Amax 208. Both shot best around 2980. Did you jump, jam, or just touching the lands?

Marshal makes great bullets very consistant. I shot them all last year. i didn't shoot them in a 300wm but my 30 cal bullets had a similar VLD profile and preferred being jammed.

I have shot some fantastic groups with the Matrix 7mm 190gr VLDs in my 7-300wsm. I found they shot best when seated between 20 and 30 thou off the lands.

Maybe just to add to the barrel spec if it was a custom what style reamer (chambered to) was used.

I'm shooting the 210 gr Matrix in .308 Win, at 2710 fps. About .020 off the lands.

That would be a good idea. Im thinking for load development do the ladder just touching then use the sweet spot and do 3 shot groups backing each up by .010"
