hi all, i've purchased an ar15 upper, i'm just curious what will be the brand of this upper. above the forward assy. is has a small logo, its like a omega logo or it also looks like very similar to a horshoe. pls. kindly provide me the info.

The mark is by the company which forged the upper, not necessarily the one that completed the finishing and then marketed/sold it.

AR15.com has a list somewhere in their forums of all the various marks and what they mean. If I find it, I'll post it here, but not until tonight at least.

I believe the forging mark you are describing is the Cerro Forge mark. They make receivers for many different AR manufacturers including Colt. The Colt ones usually have a little 'C' stamped in front of it.

I can't beleive you bought an upper without verifying make/model before handing over $$$.

Then ask us "what it is" without even posting pictures.

Especially since you've been a member here for ~7yrs and have 30 transactions...

If the price was right, maybe so damn cheap it's not funny, I may have taken a chance without doing research first.
