Since we are in Canada, the chances of getting shot (unless you live in Toronto) are pretty slim, depending on vocation.

From a security professionals perspective, getting stabbed is a much higher likelihood.

We take our IIIA rated anti-stab soft armour and simulate a stabbing strike with a tomahawk.

Why to 'hawk? It can generate way more striking force than a knife, so we decided it would be a better test.

How would these hold up to an ice pick? Always afraid I'll get stabbed out of the blue by one and the assailant will say "ice to see you."
That all depends on the person using it, kevlar does not do well with a pick or needle, the PE does.
dedicated anti stab products have a metal mesh liner which makes the ballistic material not very flexible.
most knife"proof" armor today it thin and hard.
the hybrid armor give good protection from both bullets and sharp objects while still staying somewhat flexible

A tomahawk is NOT a good test because the cutting edge is 3-4 inches whereas a knife is concentrated on less that 1/8".

The wider blade will not part the weave whereas the knife works by parting the weave.

^ 100% agreed! The Tomahawk test doesn't reflect what a common carried knife will do. Looks more like Blunt force with that thing. The little knife you used to separate the layers or a similar few inch long blade, pocket knife would be more viable/realistic. Or even a {sharpened} screwdriver! Something small that an assalient could conceal easier than a Tomahawk!

ok i get that, but my staff member made this post a week ago and we filmed this test 3 weeks ago?
so how are we using the shooting to promot out armor?

Poking a jab at the shootings in Toronto. Trying to take advantages traumatic events. In order to sell your armor. Yes you been selling for years. But don't need to poke fun at shootings to get your point across. That's all we need, big guys wearing tiny armor that looks like man bras.

Lmao

What about July 16th, July 9th, July 5th, 4th? What about the 2 injured kids that got shot?

I think you need to relax. He did not mention the shooting in Toronto, only that you would have a better chance of being shot there. Which is true. The rest of the post is about how stab proof his armor is

not sure what you issue is, no ones poking fun at the shootings, just stating facts.
As for the size of the armor, ill take a guess , that you have no idea why plate carriers are that size.
If you really want to know , ill take time to explain it too you.
I think its about time you dropped this, no ones its trying to make money off of dead people.
I wish we lived in a world where i would be out of a job but we don,t , we live in this one.

Protect the heart and lungs. But I know plenty about body armor and don't need no education. I worn my fair share of them, plates and soft armor.

You're marketing this armor on events and fear that you need armor if you goto Toronto. Which shouldn't be the case. You make armor yes, no biggy. Just leave out the jabs of tragic events, to help sell your armor.

What is up with that comment eh? You guys posted this on the 17th, just happens to get bumped/commented on today. Some people eh~ Talk about Un-Attention to detail! Kind of thing that Can get you killed, Not everyone is Aware' of their surroundings ;)
