Informal Outdoor Ranges West of Montreal

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for an outdoor range near the West Island of Montreal to do some shooting with my Hawken muzzle loader. I'm not really looking for a club with formal events and such. I heard there was a sand-pit or something in Melocheville but I can't seem to find any details online. Does anyone know about this, or any other places west of town? I want to be able to bring a friend or two without too much formality/expense.

I heard there might be something in Vankleek Hill Ontario. If anyone has info on that I'd like to hear about it as well.

There is an indoor club in Vankleek Hill but it keeps a very low profile.

There is an outdoor range called Ruisseau Noir North of Terrebonne. It allows black powder. There is Le Pionnier off island East near the 40.
