So my father in law recently inherited an interarms 30-06, he was asking he what it's worth and I'd never even heard of it. He's supposed to send me some photos but I was just curious if anyone has any more information on them. How do I find out it's age? I did some general searches here and got some basic info but there wasn't much. Supposedly it's in good condition, the usual dents and dings but no serious issues. What's a general price range on something like this? He's trying to decide if he should keep it or sell it.

Thanks guys, I'll try and get those pics posted when they come in.

Based on reworked commercial K98 action, imported from UK if I am not mistaken. 400 give or take, depending on condiiton and extras. Is it a. Mark X? Depending on year of manufacture, it may have a high standard barrel. Baribal is a member that have lots more knowledge on these.

Edit: I found some that were rebranded Zastavas, so maybe not UK manufacture.

It's a Mauser action..... they were sold by interarms, Charles daly and also, the actions were dropped in a laminate stock and sold as a Rem 798......

Nice little rifles, reliable, Crf actions with nice bluing..... the metal work is typically rough but workable..... In excellent condition, I have gotten $550 for them...... I agree with the assessment above.......

Thanks guys. I've talked with Baribal before, I'll drop him a line again.

Please let me know if you decide to sell this rifle. I might be interested in buying one for my project.
