I have an old Noble model 40 12gag pump
Issue is i am not sure why as a pump i can not fire then pump and fire agian until spent
I have to alway push the slide release in order load next shell
Which to me basically makes this pump action a single shot

Any info was be awesome

Been around shotguns since the 60's and thought I touched every pump but cannot even remember these unless they had a brass trigger. I remember one that the old man would make me take the triggers out of for the brass value and toss the rest
Looks like they have not been made since 1955 and if poor quality why would have any one kept one
I would say you are on your own fixing yours but would not spend any money on it
Cheers

Many traditional pump shotguns require a slight forward movement of the pump to unlock after firing, and then pull it back, to start the extraction process. Winchester Model 12 is notable for this.
Not sure if you were aware of this feature, or if it this feature applies to the Noble shotgun, but worth a try.

I would carefully remove the trigger group. Keeping everything under control, release the hammer. You will probably observe that there is a point where the hammer should engage the action slide lock, dropping it so that the slide can be operated. That is the area where the problem may lie.
You will see this same problem with some of the Savage pump guns.
