####ing Dillon junk

My 1050 is set up just for 9mm. I have the 9mm adapter installed up top on the case feeder and never have the problem of over spilling cases. Most of my stoppages are putting in to much brass for the case feeder to turn, or a 9mm missing the drop hole and binding up the rotating disk.

Now the XL 650 is a different problem. Now that spills .223's all over the place when the stupid micro switch does not detect a slim remington case and auto shut off the case feeder. I have to manually turn off my case feeder all the time to load .223. What a pain in the butt.

Other then that, there's no better loaders out there that i know of!

RePete is on his way out your area, he has a 1050 all set up...I think he is planning to drop by and visit you...right now he is in Calgary and heading west

Strange. I have had a 650 for about 8 months now and have done a few thousand .223's in that time. It's never (I mean not even once) had a problem on the feed (or anywhere else). Sounds like you should get a free new feeder from them.
I second the thought -what is it the 1050 does that's so much better than a 650 to justify the massive price increase (triple the cost!!! -you could buy 3 650's) plus the lack of warranty (versus lifetime warranty)?

The difference is lots less plastic; it's seriously overbuilt, it has the built in swager and it lets you prime on the downstroke.

Does it justify the price difference? That's a personal question - it may for one guy and it may not for another. I know Wolf at Wolf Bullets is a Dillon dealer, but he despises the 650s. He recommends 550s or 1050s...I figure he's got the experience to know.

I got the 1050's predecessor; the 1000 - I wouldn't trade it for anything else I've ever used or played with (including all the booths at SHOT)- and 1/3 of the parts are no longer made...and I have to pay for what parts I buy (just a couple of primer magazines after a kaboom that I caused...) Dillon still takes my calls to help me.

Slavex - Mark X Ammoload...;)

it's a typical Dillon thing, and yes I've phoned them about it and the bloody case feeder not dropping 9mm cases down the tube properly and everything hanging up up top. If you try to actually get some speed going it won't function. the truly sad part is this is the best press you can get. truly truly sad.

it's not the best ... but perhaps the best reasonable money can get... look at this... http://www.ammoload.com/ flip of aa switch 5000 rounds per hour... take out a second mortgage cause it ain't cheap...
