Inglis 9mm questions

What? They're blued? Can't wait to see how long it takes them to crumble into red dust.

The original WWII lanyards are still floating around in the system. When I was in Afghanistan we were issued Blackhawk lanyards but I believe that these may have been a small unit purchase, and not an official replacement.

Thanks for all the advice guys... let the games begin!
I've started shopping. I've seen a couple of posts warning of repro stocks. Are there obvious indications of repros?

Yes, if you open an origional, the wood will be evenly coloured all the way through. The Chinese ones only have the stain part way through the wood. The chinese copies replicated all the markings, so they would not be an indicator.

not stained on the inside like this one on ebay? its asking US$169. what other color do these stock comes in?

Yes, that is one of the reproductions .... the originals were solid walnut, and thus dark all the way through. The repros are a coarser-grained wood, stained with a walnut-like colour on the outside ...

The price you mention is "in the ballpark", it seems, for the repros.

All I have is a repro (which I stained on the inside to make it a wee bit more attractive) -
