Inglis Browning Question

I have a quick question about an Inglis High Power that was made under Chinese contract in Toronto (to be shipped to china for the war.)

I believe it also has chinese markings on it and comes with the removable wooden stock. All is in emaculate condition. A guy from work was offering it to me and just wondering what a good price for it would be.

Chinese script adds a bit to the price, and the stock is worth about $300-400 if it's original. With both these features, $1K-$1300 would be ballpark.

No chinese script and repro stock you would drop to the $600-900 range.

Immaculate in my books includes the lend lease decal. Add $100 or 2 to the price if 95% of an original decal is present.

These are my estimates only. Few enough of these sell in Canada that the price is often set by the seller and met by a buyer. There will be those that paid a lot less, and there may be those that pay more. As with all milsurp, this is today's estimate; the day will come when you will dream of these prices and often that day is not so far in the future when it comes to Cdn made milsurp.

Stencollector has it right. Any Inglis is a good Browning. The stock and tangent backsight make it different to fire. The Chinese markings and decal make it particularly Canadian. If this gun is as good as he says, there is the off chance he never got those JI marked magazines 'shortened' to 10 rounds.
