Just FYI

Friend has A FN version he is having extraction problems with and I offered him to try my inglis one to see if that would solve the issue.

Looks the same the the diameter of the rear inglis rear portion is too big to fit into a FN model.

1st you have to define which FN, and which model Inglis you have? If the FN is wartime or Pre war it won't have the Inglis MkI* extractor. FN only adopted the Inglis "*" and mk2 improvements post war c.1946 thru about 1951.

Having said that you should be able to fit it. Usually in my experience, it's not "too large" it's a case of the extractor being too curved to fit into the tunnel. You may have to put spring tension onto it, or rotate it while pressing it in before you can slide it fully through.

Inglis diameter was definitely larger. Tried to enter just the rear of my Inglis extractor (1T54XX a No2 Mk1*) into the rear of the his FN commercial post war slide and diameter difference was obvious.

Ah, my experience is with pre 1951 HPs.

On the bright side, if the Inglis is larger OD it can be fitted.

FN made several dimensional changes Post WW2 which seem to have been largely based on making WW2 era "licensed" (ie. Inglis) guns obsolescent - rather than any legitimate engineering improvement.
