Inglis HP question - Mec-Gar mags fit?

My friend has an old HP. Just wondering if a modern aftermarket mag will fit and function correctly in it (MecGar, etc.)?

I run Mec Gars in my Inglis and they work great. I don't think I've ever even had a stoppage with them.

Modern Browning "mousetrap" mags work too I just don't like them as much as the 10th round is really tight making mags hard to load.

^That's my experience as well.
Both Mec Gar's from Brownell's and the OEM mags with the spring from my 70's era BHP work in my Inglis.

Northern Republic Magazine has Mec Gar for $39.99 in stock. Brownells has the Mec Gar as well for $25.85 USD and they will ship mags to Canada.

Wolverine has factory mags (with the spring) but they are $54.95
