Anyone recognize these chinese script markings?

Your pictures are a bit small to make much out - the only Chinese characters I can see are on the left side of the slide .....

According to Clive Law's excellent "Inglis Diamond: The Canadian High Power Pistol" (page236) it is a property mark which appears on "second contract" Chinese pistols (i.e. made after production resumed for China in June of 1944.)

He indicates that it reads Gong Qiang, meaning "Public Gun" or "Official Gun" .....

I have ordered a copy of the Inglis Diamond since getting into commonwealth collecting. From the board it appears to be an invaluable rersource.
