Inglis no separate FRT??

Waiting for transfer on a 6T. Was told by person at CFC that it is a Browning model ? Mark ? (I forget what the numbers I was told were. Was going to ask this question to him, but figured it might delay transfer. What do you Inglis owners have on your registrations?

I don't have one myself but I would think they just leave it registered per original design to keep things simple. I had a Tokagypt T-58 (made by FEG) that was registered as a Tokarev. When the registry was in place all my Longbranch rifles were "Lee Enfield" on the certificates.

My 3CH says it's a model P35 I think. Will have to check the cert.

They have recently been asking for more information on the registration. For example I just sold a Swiss Luger. On the registration it was listed as a Luger. They required me to say what type of Luger it was and when I received the updated paperwork notifying of the transfer it was changed to 1929 Swiss Luger.

The "manufacturer" portion of the registry has been messed up forever. Think of all the "Lee-Enfields" listed that were really Long Branches/Ishapore/BSA/Lithgow etc. Or Garands.

I have 4 Inglis Hi Powers and they are all registered as Brownings.

The system uses "make" and "manufacturer".
The registration certificate has much less information on it that the registry has.

It is a No. 2 Mk I*, manufacturered by John Inglis and Company.
