Howdy all.Does anyone know how to set up the barrel bushing on the Inglis pistol? I have a new to me slide I wish to put on my CH series.I want to be able to move the barrel over to the new slide and use the better(to me) sights.
These slide come with a screw in bushing.I'm able to screw it out a ways and slide in the barrel.
So do these bushings need to be reamed to fit the barrel or is there another way. Thanks

You should not have to touch the bushing at all to remove or replace the barrel. The barrel can be removed without little effort just by manipulation. This is an Inglis unaltered pistol I assume

Yep unaltered as far as I can tell. When the bushing is screwed in,there is no way the top tab on the barrel can get past the face of the slide to drop down do to the angle that the barrel meets the bushing.Have both slides right in front of me.The CH series bushing appears a bit oblong whereas the other is perfectly round.

Solved. I noticed that the bushing has a tiny hole in it.I looked at the CH series and saw the hole was at 12.00 o'clock (straight up).Went to a friends and had a look at his inglis and noticed the same thing. Went home turned the bushing to 12.00 and the barrel slid right in.Mission accomplished.
