Inglis No2 MK.1* Question

Pictured here is the hammer on my Inglis No2 MK.1*. It has the number 2 stamped on it, is it correct for an Inglis hammer ? It is an 8T series serial number. Thank you

It could be but i cannot substantiate it. However, i have a picture of the same hammer with an alphabetical designation for the number 2. Looks like "IL."
