Hey guy,s I was gifted with 3 Mauser rifles in various stages of bubbizing,I really am not interested in resoring or finishing them. They are a swede 6.5X55 ,Brazilian7x57 and I think a Spanish.308.They have been bubbaized beyond restoration. What I would like to do is sell these rifles except the Swede to you guys,so how do you go about doing this, they were never registered and don,t want to cause any trouble to the kind old lady that gave them to me.Or would it be easier to sell them as parts. thanks

Impossible. The registry was a huge success. There are no unregistered guns....

You cannot sell unregistered guns here. Your not even really supposed to talk about them here.

If you have a PAL , register them on-line. Then come back.

Board glitch?

if you can try to save the barrels somebody could probably use one i dont think tou can get into trouble with those

Yes ,I will get them registered .The Spandard is spoken for,the Brazilian is mainly a barreled action without floorplate with aftermarket sights installed and reblued, someone could make a decent hunting rifle out of it

It's pretty easy to register a previously unregistered rifle. Check the CFC website for details, or if you happen to be in Winnipeg, I would happily give you a hand getting it sorted out(and to get a first look:)).

This is why CGN is great, instead of freaking out about what at first sounded like an invition to a felony charge someone got good advice about how to both follow the letter of the law and save an important part of our history.
I worry about all the classic rifles and shotguns getting chopped by people who are worried about the legal consequences real or imagined. Even worse are the poor fools who give their guns to the police for these so called gun amnesty drives. They don't apply to the guns used in a crime so the only guns they get off the street belong to honest citizens.

They are in the process of being resistered this week(amnesty),very nice lady on the phone, but need to call again to the firearms center and speak with the verifier as she could not figure out what they were and the verfier left early. Then up for sale they go.Thanks for the help guy,s

Best of Luck, but it took over 6 months to get my registration papers for the Un-issued 1950 Longbranch No4 I "found" last winter.
Damn I knew this was going too smooth for the goverment,oh well at least they will be legal

Ahhhh, screw em. I registered a gun in May '05, and sold it this February past. Called the CFC, initiated the transfer, and passed the rifle on to it's new owner. Last month the CFC calls me to tell me they have a registration application for this gun from me! The stupid useless tits at the CFC lost my registration application, but still transferred the gun. Makes me wonder if it's still in my name, even though it's on its 3rd owner since me:p Stupid CFC!
