Inherited this today

Actually also looks like a Anschutz model 125 which was made for CIL by Savage at one time which was around 1966. I have one and it sure looks awful close to it as well.

This 22 I have is a Lakefield Mossberg 22 Repeater like I had mentioned in my first post. With that said: Today I bought a 10 shot Savage arms clip for it and it works flawlessly. On the packaging it says: Savage and Lakefield mark 2, 501, 504 and 900 series bolt action repeater .22cal. lr and .17 mach 2 rimfire. In the morning I`ll post pics of the original 6 shot clip and the new 10 shot clip. They are identical other than the length.

Close!!!! Just googled it. They are darn near the same, only difference I see is the end of the bolt action looks a little more round where as Mine is more flat with a little bit of a crown.

Hey all.

I too have one of these beauties that I inherited from my father. I have a question about scope mounting. "Tip-off" mounts were mentioned. Are these different from dovetail mounts? The grooves look almost vertical, not angled like any dovetail I've seen. I'd appreciate your help and input with this.
