Inline ML breech plugs

How often should these be changed? Is there obvious visible signs, (pitting around orifice, accuracy issues) or is replacement recommended every year or two regardless.....like rotating your tires?


I am not one to let my ML sit in a safe, then blow the dust off it come November. Huntsman and I knock the hell out of the local range every Sunday.

I should probably change mine too..or atleast buy a spare.
Compare accuracy with a 3 round grp from the old & new?

I've been shooting my mzler for 8 years now and haven't changed breech plug or nipple. Once in awhile, when cleaning, I look them over. Look the same as when new. If by some chance their appearence changed, such as pitting on the inside or on the threads, I would change them.
