My local shop has a special going on where a brand new les baer premier 2 is $2400. I typically buy used when I find a good deal and that is usually the case when being patient. So my first option is going used if I find one worth buying.

My question is for current owners about there finish. I've seen a few listed with low round count and even 500rd count but the slide finish is worn like it's been sitting for years and bluing is naturally wearing or slide finish looks like it's been shot with well over 3,000 rounds

Any current owners experience with very low round count but slide finish is already wearing out?

Its not so much the round count, but how many times the gun has been in and out of a holster.LBs have a reputation for poor blueing that wears rapidly, and also for blueing that goes purplish over a few years. They are great shooting guns though,so if it looks otherwise OK,I wouldnt worry too much about the finish, its going to wear anyways on a new gun

2400 is not a bad price mine was 2800 taxes in only finish wear I have is on my barrel because of the tight tolerance's. I think most wear come from holsters as they are a dream to shoot in competition.

Its $2400 plus tax so just over $2700 with tax.

It seems like it has more to do with lighting of pictures than the actual finish wearing fast for the blue models.

I just saw an ad on the wesson forum for a stainless sw1911 and I would of sworn it was not stainless. Buddy must taken the pictures in a dark room with no lighting. Hard to say why but just terrible. You think when your selling a gun for over the 1k-2k mark. You could atleast take a few pics and try to show the beauty of your item for sale.
