Now you're gettin' into the right zone. The guys that think Savages are
ugly must have not noticed the new Savage actions with the smooth
contour barrel nut, the repositioned safety and nicer shroud
on the bolt rear.:cool:
If you start with a Stevens, you could get the nicer barrel nut direct from Savage.

I always thought a full stocked .358 Win on a M1936 Mexican M98 Mauser would be really slick. What about seeing if Cooper will chamber one for you? That would be a neat rifle too.
