inquiry on C7 rifle options

"...realistic looking airsoft..." Evil replicas as I recall.
"...and turn them into functional firearms..." Instant KABOOM in a plastic toy.

Except these replicas would have their plastic components replaced by metal parts to fire real bullet. The conversion was actually done successfully by some Jap gunnutz in the past. The Japanese govt got all freaked out and brought in a new law to restrict Jap made replicas to plastic only.

The same conversion idea can also apply to metal starter pistols used in sporting events. One shady Toronto milsurp store was actually busted for selling these pistols with conversion plan to customers in the 90's.

Oh, they're still in use. Very handy for ruck marches, gives you the approximate weight without all the hassle of signing out actual weapons. Most I see have bent barrels though.

Thanks guys, This won't be locked up in a gun room or anything so the norinco idea won't be the best. I would like to have some sort of collectable/histrical value so maybe my best bet is a resin training rifle, these actually were utillized by the CF during the implementation of the C7 rifle? is that almost $600 pricey though? Anyone else in Canada have these or is CS my only option.
