Inquiry regarding CF gear - circa early 1990's

A little help guys? some of you may know this forst hand.

I can not find a whole lot of info on this.

What pattern of Canadian Forces web gear would have been issued to the UN forces in the former Yugo circa 1992? any photos, better reference?

also, issue battle dress?

I was thinking of putting together a set for my own personal nostalgia. Wish I could add the C7 to the set up but alas no dice.

Olive drab field dress, and pattern 82 webbing, I'm guessing...

This is probably a question that would get answered very quickly on the army.ca forum.
 
I remember !!

I remember wearing a early flack vest and blue hand painted M1 helmet (92-93 PPCLI) most time we just carried the webbing (pattern 82)in the truck or track. It wasn't until midway through we received the Kevlar helmets. You should also get the 9mm as well. Get the metal mags for you C7 at the time the plastic :eek:where issued (piece of crap) Like I wanted to go to a war zone with cheap mags. As for pic I would have to dig deep to find any.

In the late 80's the regs all had 82 pattern webbing. Reserve units had a mix of some 82 complete with mag pouches for the SMG & FNC1 & 2. Also to be found was 64 pattern and some 51 pattern. By around 86-87 I think issue of 82 pattern was mostly complete. In 84 in Germany we tested a varity of body armour and helmets, so some pictures of that may pop up.
 
82 pattern webbing, says my friend who went on roto 1 in 92-93. One of his friend got to wear the "jean" load bearing vest one or two roto later.

Any insight on a source for Pat 82 gear or where I might be able to pick up some CF items circa UNPROFOR?
 
Look for your local surplus store. There should be a bunch at the Calgary gun show. Sometimes shows up on e-bay.
 
Was issued the OD green load bearing vest worn over the kevlar flak vest and wore a blue K pot helmet.
 
A lot of the old OD's and 82pat webbing are kicking around in surplus stores everywhere now with the introduction of CADPAT and the tacvests. Last I remember a pair of used pants went for about 35$ and shirt for about 40$. Helmets/berets/field caps are readily available too.

A little cheaper here, though, and pants cost more than tunics...

I am actually getting fitted for a new rucksac tommorrow and have to find all the parts to my old one (never used it, always used the 64) and they are in a few boxes of old/extra stuff in my basement that doesn't have to be turned in if I ever get out. PM me an email address and I will get back to you with what I have that can be let go.
Probably have webbing pieces etc...I think Ihave one piece of the old helmet...still painted blue...
