Insane 40 S&W ammo

So in your more retail-knowledgeable opinion, is $300 for 1000 of those a "fell off a truck" price? I have no clue.

Let me tell you that it was far cheaper 300 dollars for 1k of ammo when I bought it.

I got 2k ammo a Glock 22 and 5 Mags for 1k CDN.

The ammo it self looks like it costs anywhere 300-600 USD per 1000.

This Truck must have been special.

This stuff is Speer factory frangible. I have about 3K of it in 9mm and it's both fast and a bit snappy but I've had no issues with the previous 2K+ of it in any of the half dozen pistols I've shot it in. I'v shot about 6-800 in .40 and it was snappy but no damage to a couple of MP40's and a G23. I believe that the projectiles are sintered copper IIRC, I do know that you can shoot steel at arms length and get no splash back, the stuff essentially turns to dust...

The sintered copper construction would explain the light-for-calibre aspect. The sealant on the bullets also rings of duty/military ammo, though it seems a bit overkill to extend the treatment to training ammo...
