I have a new firing pin I need to replace on my M94 pre-64 30-30 and need some help. I literally took the whole assembly apart to remove the firing pin and was wondering if anyone knew an easier way to re-insert the new pin. I have the top pin out from the assembly but there appears to be something blocking an easy slide in of the firing pin, can anyone help?

If you already have the old firing pin out, and the new one will not fit in, I suspect you have the wrong firing pin.....

Yup, take it out, take it down all the way.
Clean that bolt out well, while it's out, and make sure there are no broken firing pin bits in there.

Yeah, I felt rather fortunate to have'er reassembled after looking at it with all them damn parts, I was hoping there was an easier way to insert a new firing pin than repeat the whole process but stands to reason. Yes Guntech, that does stand to make the most sense but I was hoping for some experienced suggestions, gimme a break.
