Posting this for a buddy but here she goes:
This rifle is the latest one from the shop at Insite Arms. This build went to another shop and after 14 months... yes 14 months... of not being touched, the components went to Harley. Quoted ETA was month, month and half. 2 weeks later rifle was completed and test fired. Harley and Andy work one rifle at a time and the work produced out of the shop is nothing short of spectacular. If anyone has seen an Insite Arms build in person they know nothing is short changed.
On to the rifle:
Stiller Defiance Short action Left Hand
Krieger 6.5 CM (not sure of twist)
Jewel Trigger set to 8oz
AI 2.0 Folder Stock
TPS High Rings
NF 5.5-22x56 Mil-Dot w Zero Stop
The rifle was going to be cerakoated but funds didn't allow it at the time, Harley bead blasted the barrel and then high speed polished it but left the fluting blasted for contrast, looks sweet too!
After its first string of shots with factory ammo to see what it likes, these are the last 5 shots. Group measured .236. Only 12 rounds down the tube.
The rifle was taken out to 700 yards today and it became almost boring how easy it was to hit the gong (12inch). At one point the gong spun sideways and the only shot was the plates side, 1/2 inch thick.... next shot spun it back to normal. All this with factory 140gr SMK Winchester ammo.
There it is guys. If you're looking for a new custom gun or have components and looking for a good smith, Insite is right here in Lloydminster (In between Edmonton and Saskatoon) to put it together for you call up Harley and Andy and they can sort you out.
