Purchased a Tanfoglio and now turning it to an open gun, my question is when installing the mount do you use lock tight blue or red and where? I was told blue lock tight on frame for mount and red lock tight securing the red dot to mount? Thanks
use blue all around, if your screws and holes are clean and dry it will last forever if not disturbed, plus its hard to remove a optic if you have to heat a screw with red locktite...
I'd use red on the screws into the frame, then blue on the optic / mount screws on an open gun (if you're going to shoot major). I used blue once on my frame and they backed out after a few hundred rounds. Last time I used red and no issues.
Use blue all around......used properly, it's all you need, just like JOJO says.
If you use red -- you won't care for the effort or results when it's removal time.
Consider red to be a "permanent solution".
