If you set up the Tapco so that it is 90 degrees in relation to the torque wrench, your torque spec should remain the same as the torque set on your wrench.

Just tested it out at 90 degrees and then extended. Ended torquing to the same spot.
Make sure you vice the barrel and not the receiver or you damage the upper. You can use a standard wrench with the correct size. Would suggest a adjustable wrench. If your using a crush washer keep in mind those suckers have a lot of give so make sure it's tightened properly. If your using shims you have about a quarter turn after your tight. Don't use locktite, rockset or anything else on the threads. Last time I used rockset took a half hour with a blow torch to get it off.
