Installing a P226 short trigger

Its not a big job, and can be completed in abut 15 minites or so...at one time there was a thread here on CGN with a step by step of how to do it, try a search it might still turn up! If you get the armoureres CD it does show how to do it, and the CD also has lots of other valuable 226 info on it. Also try sigforum as the procdeure is there for sure.

But basically yes...you should be able to do this at home with no special tools!

The short trigger should have been called the "NARROW TRIGGER". It doesnt reduce or change length of pull or trigger reset distance. It is a thinner/narrower trigger that helps with your finger postition on the trigger . Some people find the 226 grip, abit fat or wide for their hand, and installing the short trigger will make positioning the trigger finger a bit more comfortable for them.
