Installing XS front sights

"...The Shooting Edge....Lists them at $189 (Packaged front and Rear)..."

...and the XS website quotes them at $160USD, so that sounds about right.

Add to that the cost of having a gunsmith drill and tap your receiver to install the rear ghost-ring sight (if you're not comfortable with doing it yourself).

I've had the XS 'banded' front sight (with rear ghost ring) on my 870 for about a year now...

...and - after well over 1000 shells - it shows absolutely no signs whatsoever of loosening or being knocked out of alignment. Properly installed, it's pretty much 'bomb proof'.

Is your 870 over 26 inches? just curious because that is F-in sweet and I would love to do something like this to mine!

By the looks of your user name and signature line, it would appear that we have something else in common ...I was a Rad Op in the Reg Force (left as a WO in '96).

:canadaFlag: Cheers!

I served from '90 to '97, Hinquarters & Sigs in Petawawa :runaway: got out as a Cpl. 10 years later and I am thinking of joining a reserve Infantry unit here in Cambridge, you never get it out of your system :)

I did my time in the SSF from '84 to '87 with 1 RCR in London (Sig Pl/HQ Coy). We had the AMF(L) tasking, which meant fun in the snow over in Norway every now and then ...heck, they even let me drive a BV206.
