The PS4 has motion detection by using two cameras. By using 2 cameras, it can triangulate your position and produce a 3D image of the area. I predict in the future, there will be digital sights that will have 2 cameras, create a 3D picture and then calibrate everything based on its knowledge of the position of the target.
