I recently was given an interarms 30-06 bolt action for my birthday/early Christmas present by a family member.
Im new to largerish caliber riffles.
What exactly is interarms? I googled it and well I know the history of the guy who started it but why do I not see any new interarms guns ect.

Interarms was an importer of what today is called the Zastava Mauser 98 and sold them as the Interarms Mark X. Remington imported the actions for a while and sold them as the Remington 798.
I have one of each, an Interarms in 308 win and a Rem 798 in 7mm remmag.
They are excellent rifles and very accurate. Zastavia, I am told means "Red Flag" in Serbian.
There are some differences in the safety between the two, but mostly cosmetic. The floor plate release is in different positions and the safety on the Interarms sample will not let you open the bolt when it is engeged.

The Interarms Mauser is a high quality rifle. The actions were built by Zastava as others have mentioned and are well built and reliable. You can't go wrong with what you've got.

Flag yes for Zastava but you need crvena to get red flag ....

I've got a Whitworth Express in 30-06 , it's built on a Zastava 98 . It's a great piece of kit , totally reliable , accurate and it's an 06........ that's all most of us really need . You have a good rifle that is capable of taking most game at realistic ranges , good score .

Interarmco imported a lot more stuff than Zastava's. Everything from .22's to AK's, Stateside. Mostly European made stuff of decent quality along with some outright junk.
Your rifle doesn't fall under the junk. Pretty decent hunting rifle. Think 165 grain hunting bullets and you're set for any game you care to hunt.

You need to create a web storage like photobucket etc... Then post using the url of the image. Tap the insert image button ( third from the right) and copy/paste image url. Shoul be more info here: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/197433-Tutorial-How-to-Post-Pictures

Nice rifles, a keeper. I have a Churchill Mauser that was imported and sold by the same crew. Google interarms mark x, should get a few hits.

Actually, they were built by the same "crew" :)
As per I quoted on the other thread, Churchill was a posession of Interarms.

photo I hope.
