That's a sporterised M1917 Enfield (P17). Whitworth,BSA and other companies converted 1,000's of these, P14's , Enfields and others, after WWII in the 1950's-60's. Please dont be offended, but yours is not worth wasting any time and money on IMHO.

the bolt is coming out nice there is no pitting. so if i got the barrel cut and re crowned and a cheep stock say all in 120$ you still dont think its worth it ? the barrel and chamber are fine. it would just be a truck gun.

Sure if that's what you want to do with it. Might want to get opinion on the heavy pitted receiver to make sure not dangerous.

thanks alot longbranch i will send it in to a smith for an opinion the more it soaked in the solvent the better it looks but safety is key i like my face so if its any where near un safe parts it is.
