Interarms Whitworth MARK X 300 external box mag?

hi all, looking for some help. I have Whitworth MARK X in .300. the second shell in the feeder always flips up and jams. had it to Back Country in FSJ and they indicated that the spring and feeder are worn out. the rifle is in good shape so I am wondering if anyone has ever installed an external box mag? is there parts available?

I am in Edmonton now. any decent smiths around that know if this can be done?
 
Is this the Interarms Mark X or a rifle built on a Whitworth Enfield action (P17)?
I would suggest replacing the spring and follower (feeder?) if that is all that is known to be wrong with it. The Interarms Mark X is basically a commercial 98 Mauser action and there are a few detachable magazine adapters out there, but not sure if there is one that would work with the magnum case. They would not be a drop in conversion.
