Really, I used 130gr Interlocks at 3000fps for 11 deer and never had that issue. If there where any separations they went out the other side.
Three deer and only one shot exited and for that one, we found the jacket inside, only the core exited. Will they kill deer, sure, did they hold up without separating, not in this case....
3000fps on the 270 wsm, is not that hot of a load
If you are a dedicated interlock fan, then use them, I personally can't be a fan of a bullet that separates. It happened 3 times in a row, so that was enough for me to decide to use a better bullet. I personally thought they should hold up better. They were accurate at the range though.
Interbonds are better, but the same price as Nosler Accubonds. This year I have loaded him Accubonds for deer and A-Frames for Elk.... Though I am sure the Accubonds would be fine on Elk also.
