Would anyone be interested if Norinco made a M14S with a copy of the LRB M25 receiver? I would!

Perhaps CanAm could motivate them?

I highly doubt this would ever happen. The receivers on todays chinese rifles were made at the turn of the nineties. I would't expect china to set up and machine a new receiver unless there was an order or demand in the 10's of thousands.

Bingo. As I posted at the time, there were 19k left in 2008.

Interesting stuff so all the receivers on the rifles were getting were made for the US market but were never used because the US banned Chinese made firearms?

I wonder if they will make more, as they are selling quite well in Canada.......and apparently New Zeiland. If they do manufacture more, this would be the way to go for recievers............might as well get our wish list in now.

I'd just like to buy 50 or 100 bare chinese receivers to keep for building custom rifles. Haven't found a norinco importer willing or able to make it happen yet though.

I guess its both a question and statement. I know nothing about tooling costs. But what I do know is there have been lots of cool products brought to the Canadian market by various Canadian firearm accesorie manufactures because they feel passionate about there hobby and make it there business. To be honnest I think that 900 US is a bit much for a stripped receiver. To much for my current situation anyway. If proffit is your bottom line maybe this is not the right project for you. But for a machinist with a shop some spare time and a passion for these riffles it could be a second income in years to come.
