Interest in Benelli M4's

I have the feeling that some of my local shops are getting tired of their $2250 M4s languishing on their shelves and might be willing to let them go for a more reasonable $2000. These guns shouldn't command more than $300-400 more than the the M2 Tactical, as is the case in the U.S.

After all it isn't like they're hard to find or that they fly off the shelves so why the scalper's prices?

That includes the ones you have?? for $2095.

Is a M4 $200+ better than a Fabarm SAT 8?

I don't have any M4s languishing in inventory, they are all gone.

Better is subjective. In my opinion the M4 is better finished, and seems better made.

I've never even seen a SAT 8 but even if it were as good it doesn't have anything like the M4's aftermarket, knowledge base or the military and police adoption that'll ensure it'll be in production for a while.

I don't believe those statements are correct.

Does HK still have a relationship with Fabarm for their Shotguns? Because HK has NO aftermarket, knowledge base or the military and police adoption that will ensure it'll be in production for awhile.................

HK or not, just take a look online and see if the aftermarket is as strong for the SAT 8 as it is for the M4, or if the SAT 8 has achieved the same level of military or police acceptance, or if you can find anywhere near the number of owners talking about their guns for that matter.

Like I said before I've never even seen a SAT 8 in person, let alone shot one, but even if it were as good {a big if} |I'd rather have the much more common and better supported Benelli over the off-brand Fabarm.

M4 is nicer than the SAT 8 imho. The SAT 8 is sweet though...All Fabarm guns are.

I would not buy a M4 unless it had the multi position stock.

The SAT8 has been in production in one form or another for more than 2 decades. Parts are not scarce or hard to find and will be available for a long, long time.

How so? The SAT-8 just hasn't had nearly the impact the M4 has had even though it's appearantly been around twice as long, to the point many folks aren't even aware that Fabarm makes a tactical autoloader. This is like comparing the difference between Benelli and Fabarm pumps as far as all that goes.

Well that is because you are in North America. In Europe it is much better known, because it has always been marketed by Fabarm. Unfortunately in the US it was marketed by HK. I bet you would see lots more info if you searched HK shotguns.

Funny. I can see you arguing with me, I am a nobody. But look who you are arguing with??
These guys (Importers and Dealers) know a thing or 2 about shotguns.

M4 is all advertising. They went straight for the Mil. contracts.....knowing there would be 1000's of guys lined up to buy one the next week. (I know it is a great shotgun...)

What the Military buys on Sunday.....Johnny Tactical buys on Monday :) Hahaha

Your 100% RIGHT ON THAT.
The m4 is a very good shotgun, but the fabarm SAT 8 is allso a very good shotgun, in the same class as the M4.
I have shot both and other them the tacticool fact that the USMC use it, the M4 is as good as the as the SAT 8.

The M4 was not invented then marketed to the military, there was an RFP to create the military a new autoloader shotgun. Benelli took the challenge and won the contract to make the miliatary something that they wanted.

Can one of these all knowing and all powerfull vendors please lend me $2250 indefinitely interest free?

:D

If you can have either an M4 or SAT8 you are a lucky lucky man.
