Interested in the TT-33

Don't dryfire it as you will break the firing pin's split retaining pin. I had to replace mine with a shortened drill bit kept in the slide with electrical tape until I was able to find spares.

Otherwise my 1949 Russian has been very reliable and fun to shoot other than a couple of sharp edges that rub me the wrong way.

Don't buy one with the safety added. Toks should be safetyless.

TT is interesting WW2 era pistol to shoot, not very ergonomic, but simple, reliable and has very powerful round (plus Czech surplus SMG ammo gives it additional kick - and pistol handles it well). If you're picking up just for shooting - go for Soviet post war, best quality. Best finish - Polish. Best historical value - Soviet pre war or ww2 in original condition (try to find one, a day ago matching 1939 in original condition but with incorrect wooden grips was immediately sold for $475 + taxes by one of vendors). Best curio - Khyber Pass.

Sorry, could not resist!

Oh man, I'd love one of those!

Bought mine from wiemajack, I think its only one of four in the country, Always meant to pick up a stock Russian and a pole too! great guns and I highly suggest one or 4, Iam going to have to look at those mag bases that were posted

Nice looking! Can you show us a view that shows off the rear sight?
The GPW mag bases give a much better grip on the traditional TT. All of the three lower fingers fit!
