The Northern Ireland Constabulary used mini 14 extensively in their war against the IRA & so are many US police Dept (NYPD being one of them). So mini does have a few followers & admirers around. But I totally agree. Mini 14 is not a battle rifle.

I was just in Bermuda a few days ago....the Bermuda Regiment are a REAL nice bunch of gents.
They're doing their annual Tatoo right now. Should be a good show for those who are in the area.
