So last time out at the range I managed to wear out and break the front sight pin and send my barrel bushing down the firing line... Is this a common thing with these pistols? Now I'm stuck trying to locate a silly little pin no one has in stock to get my gun up and running again. I was wondering why all of a sudden the gun was shooting wayyy right haha...

They do. I discovered this little tidbit the other day as well.
My question to OP is how did it come out? From what I've read on the web, you have to take out the front sight pin (you did) and then drive it out from the back with a socket or similar tool. I don't think it's supposed to fall out on it own.

You obviously don't know what a barrel bushing is. BTW it does have a barrel bushing. Take another look. If you remove the roll poin that holds the front sight in place it will fall out. Don't ask how I know this.

I didn't take out the pin, it worked loose at some point then the bushing popped out. I'm surprised it came out but it did, It's held in place by a very tight press fit on top of the sight pin. It took many taps from a plastic mallet to put it back. I'm also not sure how it ended up so far forward of my position.

I bought a roll pin kit and have the gun repaired (I hope). Heading out now to test it out.
The bushing has been there since 1975 when the gun entered the world. Nothing new about the bushing.
To the op the bushing is indeed a press fit BUT the friction on the bushing as the barrel moves through the firing cycle is great. Eventually it flies, I never did find the one I lost. The roll pin on mine didn't work it's way out it had some help from an idiot (me) when I was tinkering with the sight.

Yeah I imagine it wasn't long. It probably worked loose to the point where it was barely connected then a bit of gas helped launch it as far as it went. It didn't take long to notice something was wrong. I went from nice groups at 15m to not even hitting paper. Rounds were landing about 1' to the right of POA.
I haven't done anything but shoot it and clean it. Aside from this rather significant issue the pistol has been the most reliable auto I have ever owned. Zero issues of any kind in over 6000 rounds. Considering I hand load and have run all sorts of different bullet weights and powder charges I am not considering this a big deal. I have a new roll pin in place with both sides flared. This should not ever be an issue again.
