thats pretty damn cool. But five months, on a boat, with old hairy men, can be a big turnoff

It will be a challenge, thats for sure. You have to be fit in every way!

Did I miss something about flintlocks, black powder etc. Or did the voyageurs just eat alot of fish and hope for the best?

Looks really cool... too bad about the french bit and no evidence of firearms. I noticed a little bit about native members being wanted, for legal hunting I suspect.

I think the flint lock part comes in where he says he is looking for "aboriginals with privilages" I am thinking a status card gets you the comfy seat, no paddling and the choicest cuts of subsistence moose!
