Not so long ago I figured I would try Lapua .308 brass sized to 7mm-08.
Sizing process was, FL re-size , neck size with collet sizer, anneal, fireform with cornmeal loads, then start loading and firing.
I am now hitting my 4th load, the brass after the second firing was about 2.013"-2.015"(started life at 2.005") , after two more loadings it hasn't grown beyond 2.015".Still have suitable neck tension and wall thickness. Not even close to trim length yet.
I am wondering if anybody else has seen this or if using the collet sizer is saving the brass from stretching.
I am running a moderate load at 2650 ft/sec.
