Bought this many years ago from an estate sale
Owner brought it over from Hungary
You can see “ trench art “ where they carved a name in it MAC with a triangle ?
Supposedly used against the Russians in Hungary / soviet war
You can see where a government official wrote in sharpie the date and authorization number
When he brought it over in the 70’s
All this is what was told by a family member to his wife
She was a older lady and thought it was from Vietnam lol
Thought I’d share the history
Enjoy!!

War? Very few put up a fight to call it a war. I spoke to couple of descendants of those who actually fought, escaped and I doubt the story. How do you think they made to Canada, charter flight with flying colours and honourable internment?

I Never stated that she said he used it
It’s just what I was told and thought it was interesting
Not sure if you aware but in the 70’s there are many ways to get to Canada, not just
coach flights on air Canada. There was a time when we had more freedoms to buy and
transfer firearms

Here is the hint, they illegally crossed border with Austria as civilians. Spent time in refugee camps. Then made to Canada through UK and Germany. In what scenario they would be able to hold on to their rifles?

I should have latched onto one of the Bosnian seizure rifles when I had the chance. But, I didn't have anything to do in removing it from the owner.
