Interesting pattern results

Did you think of the consequences of getting caught in the U.S. with ammunition, or do you have the export permit?

MD,
Come-on now you can purchase it in the US w/o ID as long as your over 18!! Do you really think they (the US) are worried about me bringing over a couple of rounds for hunting/target shooting?

I work for an Amercian Company and whenever I am down there (driving) I always pick up some cheap 17HMR $8.00/box @ Dicks, or some hunting shells if they are on sale. I declare them at the CDN boarder show them my PAL and I am on my way.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do. I'm just passing on some information.

It is not the Canadian border or the U.S. stores that are the potential problem.

As a foreigner you are not allowed to possess ammunition in the U.S.

The new Homeland Security laws and export laws and God knows what else, if applied by a State trooper or U.S. Border patrol (if they ever stop you) could land you in a whole lot of trouble.

Sure, explain away that it is just hunting rounds and you're no terrorist all you want, but the law is the law and if they decide to nail you they will.
