22lr, I'm surprised. Usually those little derringers are either 25 rimfire or 32 rimfire.
They're actually nice little derringers. Quite well made, considering the price they sold for new.
Back in the day, I can remember seeing dozens of them at US gun shows for $10 each or best offer.
One fellow used to have a table at a half dozen shows with a cardboard box about a foot square, filled to the top with them, in everything from fair to exc condition, without any finish, nickel or blue.
They were never intended to be shot extensively and would soon become very sloppy.

Sorry I can't help you with the caliber . I was wondering is the receiver made out of brass ? neat looking . I remember when it was fashionable to go to the US guns shows and I went to one and this guy had a table full of WW2 M1 carbines . $180 each if I remember correctly . too bad the barrels were of the so called restricted length or I would have brought a couple home . every make too . Wah . have fun with your new toy .
If you can get ahold of a .25 rimfire, see if it fits, too. If it does, the pistol may be an antique (depending on date of manufacture). If it doesn't, you have a .22lr, which doesn't qualify for antique status, regardless of age. It looks like the barrel is short enough to make it prohibited, and now you've told the world you have it.
