I guess the pryse latch must be a bit stronger then it is given credit for!

You'd want to have a leather gauntlet on while holding the forend.

The Pryse Latch is really the Counet Latch as he Patened it. A. Francotte built guns for Counet.

And yes its very strong.

Alot of British 577 Caliber Revolvers used that as we say *Pryse latch system.* Includeing Bland/ Pryse

I have a 577 Revolver but its a Krupp and has a S&W type latch system.

I Like that Francotte alot but really thats a Carbine

Thats very nice tho. The way that stock attaches is strong looking.
