found this video today, not sure if this is a common mag release mod (I've never seen it) but I thought sks owners and cgn'ers may be of interest. Has anyone actually done this and how'd it turn out?

Interesting mod, a little big, and vicegrips( unless really crappy) dont break easily. I guess on could buy one from a junk shop, but none the less.

ya haha its pretty ghetto but I like the idea. It would be cool to see something put in production with a similar functionality but a little more innovative then a vice grip handle.

Oh it's totally a good idea and if I felt like ruining pair of vice grips I might try it to. If some one put out a mag release that was slightly more refined I would buy one

...I've seen this guys video, on my list of To Do' things to my cheapie Norc. that & the bolt mod. maybe even the D' mod.(use AK Mags) Fun projects if you have time & a cheap SKS to tinker around with..-wait they are all cheap aren't they - the one I've been modding is a pin on barrel I got for $125 new...
