Interesting specifics... wonder who the real end-user is?

I'd say that it's specific enough that they have a product already in mind.

There is all sorts of cool #### on that site. Like Glock and S&W both being awarded contracts values up to $40,000,000.00

Possibly an MP unit or Airforce Security? - I have the impression that the high speed guys aren't overly impressed by the EO tech.
It tends to be all over the place... But in general (no not always) I have noticed that often, The guys that USE the EOTech's do not often experience rapid changes in lighting conditions in their jobs (I.E., they spend almost all day inside, or almost all day outside, etc).

Where as the guys that go from outside to inside in say building entrys all day or that do night time operations and will be entering a well lighted building, generally USE the Aimpoints.

Why you may ask?

Well, you'll often notice that when you leave a low light building and go into the daylight your EOTech optic almost always washes out (Especially if its a sandy area or if theres lots of snow outside).

If you take that EOTech from the bright sunlight and into a dark building your optic will often be so bright the FOV inside the optic lights up just redish all over and it can make it very difficult to see through the optic.

In both cases the optic's brightness has to be adjusted. That being said, the effects of both scenarios seem less with an Aimpoint.

Bottom line, I think most people like the EOTech reticle (including myself) because of how nice it is. However, I think people like me, who need to take their optic from indoors to outdoors in an instant and not skip a beat buy Aimpoints... The kinds of guys that are "high speed" as you put it, are probably the kind of guys doing the operations i discussed above.

Just with anything, everything has its Pro's and Con's... You just have to understand those with respect to your USE. You may LIKE one better, but you know that the other one is better for your USE.

Anyway, i got off on a mini-rant there... never mind :p

Yeah I already knew about the ATF and Todd thing. Attending courses is a learning experience
