Came across this on the S&W Forum. Irrelevant for us here but an interesting idea. Nice Model 15, too. (Evil 4" barrel.)

So these are a total oddball.
“Duel Duty” grips for k-frame. Look innocuous enough, but have a compartment in the base for 6 rounds of .38 special.
All my years of shooting and collecting S&W revolvers I never saw anything like them.
Comfortable too, and much less large than I expected.

A very cool idea, and nice looking grips. Just not a real practical consideration in Canada, being as we can only shoot at ranges. I could see this being a real advantage in a CCW situation. Maybe not the fastest for reloads, but you would be able to carry spare ammo, without having a speedloader in your pocket.

Great idea for carrying extra ammo but of no real purpose in this country. However it is really cool and would buy a grip like that if it fits reasonably well in my hand, they look like a normal enough grip though, and available here as well.

Is it just me or do they look pretty wide at the base? Maybe the plastic used to make them sucks? Could probably slim it down and make one better with modern polymers and manufacturing...

Well, the base of the Pachmayrs on my Model 19 is about 1.46" and the Targets on my Model 14 are 1.5". Given a tight fit of the cases to the frame, I don't think the base would be overly wide. And the owner seems to feel they feel OK.

Here's a pic of the ones on the Danish website:

Agreed, modern polymers could maybe make this work even better.
