Interesting Stevens 200 Scout Rifle

The whole thread on Canada Ammo possibly getting a scout type rifle from Savage made available had me googling the subject and I came upon this cool piece of work..something I'd love to make a project of.

Cutting the barrel and adding ghost ring sights would be a fairly straight forward proposition, but I cant figure out how he would have added the stripper clip guide? Any ideas guys? I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one interested in something like this

Ummm yes I am aware of that thread, however the point of my post is that I would like to build on myself and I'm wondering if anyone knows how a stripper clip guide would be added to the rifle.

interesting....I could see how a stripper clip makes for quick loading after taking a step away from a truck....probably easier and cheaper to invest into a rifle with Detachable Magazine. Just my 2 cents.

Really, you step away from the truck? What the hell do you rest the rifle on?

well that looks simple enough. just make your stripper clips and then make the guide to fit and either silver solder it or epoxy it onto the reciever in the appropriate place

Just a thought; does anyone know if 303Br stripper clips will hold .532" rim magnum cartridges? I don't have one here to try.

Just tried .300 Win Mag in one and nope the clips are too small. The belt hangs up on the sides of the clip to much.
