Interesting SVT40 mount

From what I understand the guy that makes them is in Aurora, ON and makes them to order... but his price makes me cry: $430 for the mount? Personally, I'm out.

mchouvaev, you can contact the guy directly on the forum where you found the pictures. He mentions that his English is not that good though...

I see, 430 is a bit much. How about the shell deflector ? Thanks.
 
I never got in touch with him personally and the message where he posted the prices is from Aug 2015... He wanted 63 for the deflector then. If you can't find his contact info on guns . ru, pm me and I'll forward you the information he has posted there (not sure if I can post here - forum rules and whatnot). I won't be getting anything from him myself - too rich for my blood :(
 
I have an old Weaver scope kicking around and thinking about the Corwin the SVT40 Weaver/Picatinny rail scope mount. How is this held on (friction?) and comments / reviews would be appreciated.
